QUICK, PROTIEN-RICH SNACK
Hard Boiled Eggs
There is something about a quick and easy hard-boiled egg, but sometimes they're tough to get just right - that weird, green ring around the edges of the yolk, the yolk too soft, hard to peel...you know, the things that make you not want to bother.
Here's what I've found to be the easiest and best way to cook hard-boiled eggs:
Fill a pot with cold water, enough to cover the eggs by ~1"
Add eggs
Bring water and eggs to a boil on the stovetop on High
Once they're at a rolling boil, cover and remove from the heat
Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 12 minutes.
Lift the eggs out of the water (I use either a slotted spoon or a pasta spoon) and carefully put them into an ice bath for 15 minutes
Remove from ice bath, peel under running water, or dry and put in the refrigerator for a quick snack at a later time
Top with Salt & Pepper, Citrus Pepper, Everything Topping...you choose!
6 grams of protein per egg
